2019 Mercedes-AMG’s C43 Sedan gets more power and sharper look. Refreshed model made its official debut at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. It’s a revamped version of the AMG C43 four-door that comes with small design tweaks, better onboard tech, and more power.
Mercedes says, on the outside, the AMG C43 has the entry-level four-door with a mild facelift, a decent bump in power, and sculpted front and rear bumpers which includes functional side air curtains, and silver chrome detailing as well as LED headlights and taillights. Two round, twin-tailpipe trim elements get a high-gloss chrome finish.
It uses the same 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 as before with an increased horsepower from 362 to 385– a 23-hp gain. It includes 384 lb-ft of torque at 2,500-5,000 rpm routed to all four wheels via Mercedes’ AMG Speedshift 9-speed automatic transmission. It offers a 0-60 mph time of 4.6 seconds and a top speed of an electronically-limited 130 mph.
The car has AMG Performance 4MATIC all-wheel drive support with new, aerodynamically-optimized AMG light-alloy designs.
Inside, there’s a brand-new multifunction steering wheel and an updated center-mounted infotainment display system with Mercedes’ COMAND interface covered inside the 10.25-inch screen. Additionally, it has MB-Tex and Dynamic microfiber, as well as the dashboard and door panels also receive the MB-Tex trim.
There is the new AMG TRACK PACE data logger which is an option on the COMAND Online infotainment system stores acceleration, speed, and other data ten times a second.
The 2019 Mercedes-AMG C43 Sedan will make its debut on Tuesday at the 2018 Geneva International Motor Show and will arrive in US dealerships by the end of the year.
