Google’s Area 120 testing smart reply feature has been rolling out soon, according to the latest announcement made by Google. The feature declared to be targeted for the users on the Project Fi, Google’s mobile virtual network operator, last month. Since it has not yet been availed for all of the users of Android Messages service till the date.
Smart Reply feature was initially launched by the company for the email app known as Inbox. It was programmed to automatically guide instant replies to the emails on the basis of message context received by the particular user. Later, the Smart Reply feature was made accessible to the Android Messages as well as Allo app by Google, reports Android Central.
Area 120 mentioned in the announcement regarding the new feature that the project is intended to offer supportive platform for the auto Reply function within a wide range of chat apps such as Google’s Allo, Hangouts, WhatsApp, Android Messages, Facebook Messenger, Twitter DMs, Slack and Skype.
Spokesperson from Google said in a statement that, “One of the many projects that we’re working on within Area 120 is Reply, which suggests smart replies right in notifications from various chat apps. Like all other projects within Area 120, it’s a very early experiment so there aren’t many details to share right now.”
The new feature can reply to the questions such as ‘When will be home?’ or ‘Are you at the restaurant?’ the project is yet in the very beginning of its development, while Google is not expected to make the feature widely available to the outside testers than its Area 120.
