The chief announced that it is the first smartphone flagship of the year unveiling at a trade show in next month, while he didn’t disclosed a particular date. But Mobile World Congress will start from 26th February to 1st March this year, so the launch is expected to fall sometime in that period. According to the rumors, the South Korean smartphone giant would launch the phone to the beginning of the show at CES.

The company also plans to release its foldable smartphone sometimes in next year, says DJ Koh. He stated reporters last year in South Korea that Samsung was aiming the launch this year. He told that the biggest barrier is UX in commercialization, adding to the statement that they are aggressively seeking to overcome the matter.

Koh also said that the Bixby 2.0 will also be unveiled within the same year with emphasizing that by 2020, all the Samsung gadgets will be supporting the virtual assistant.

Koh said in a statement that, “Many companies have AI competence, but not many have hardware competence. We started a little later [than others] but we are confident in offering the best experience for consumers.”

Samsung Galaxy S9 is supposed to be the first phone from the company that offers 512 GB storage.
