Today, KONAMI Digital Entertainment B.V. declares to cooperate with eFootball.Pro to establish a professional eSports competition. The collaboration will utilize KONAMI’s already existing football game series.
The upcoming professional competition has the goal to draw players from around the globe and the companies behind aim to broadcast the games internationally.
FC Barcelona player and president of eFootball.Pro, Gerard Piqué said, “We want to bind the best of both worlds to bring the public a new entertainment model that they love since the first day.” He also said their goal is to integrate what makes the traditional and “real-world” football the leading in all types of sports into an ‘electronic’ football and further upgrading the concept into an international eSports.
