The year has yet to come to an end, and Nokia 8’s reign is still not over, but there are already rumors surrounding the iconic brand. HMD Global has not released an official video yet, but one thing’s for sure – Nokia 9 is coming.
HMD Global, the company behind the rebirth of Nokia, has also recently released entry-level and mid-range phones to compete with the ever-growing Android market. Further, the unleashing of Nokia 8 as the brand’s flagship phone seems to be only just the beginning.
The Nokia 9 is the brand’s card against tech-giants that has recently released their flagships like the iPhone X and Samsung Galaxy S8 to name a few. Now everyone’s hype stimulated because the previously-mysterious Nokia 9 has finally shown itself through a leak-based video. Could this be the Nokia 9 everybody’s waiting for?
Nokia 9 – A Major Makeover From Its Predecessor
It still has the dual camera at the back and the spirit of Nokia, but everything else seems like an upgrade. The sleek, glossy metallic Nokia 9 now has a bezel-less screen that seems to resemble the infinity display of Samsung.
Even the bezels at the upper and lower portion of the phone have been adjusted to their minimum border. This paves the way for a bigger screen in a smaller body.
The shining back material seems like glass; that gives obvious hints of a wireless-charging feature. You can also notice a fingerprint sensor below the rear camera.
The video also shows one intriguing thing – no headphone jack. Had Nokia followed the steps of Apple? We have yet to know. The Nokia 9 is expected to be revealed on early 2018.
There are also leaks of still photos but doesn’t look legit. This video, on the other hand, does a much better job. Keep in mind, though, that this design is based on rumors. However, even if this is not an official release from the company itself, it’s the closest thing we have. And the real Nokia 9 will not be far, if not exactly, from the one in the video.
